See the whole picture before you decide.
New Paradigm CEO™ brings an independent perspective to consequential questions, crossroads and transitions — especially where business, ownership, wealth, family, relationships and the future intersect.
When You're Too Close to See the Whole Picture
You're a successful entrepreneur, CEO, or leader.
You're used to carrying a lot.
You make decisions. You solve problems. You take responsibility, often for things that affect far more people than just you.
And most of the time, you know how to handle that.
But every now and then, something is different.
There is a decision you keep coming back to. A situation you can't quite get your head around. A crossroads you're facing. Or a transition that is already underway, and you're trying to understand what it means for what comes next.
You may have been thinking about it for weeks. Or months.
Maybe you haven't discussed it with anyone yet.
Or maybe you've discussed it with the people you trust.
Your partner has a view. Your business partner has another. Your team sees it from where they stand. Your lawyer, accountant, wealth adviser, or other specialists may each have given you very good advice.
But they are each looking at a part of the picture.
And in the end, you're the one who has to bring all of those parts together.
What does this mean for the business? For your wealth? For your health, fulfilment, and the life you actually want to live? For your partner, your family, your relationships, and the people who depend on you?
What changes if you choose one direction over another?
Who helps you see the whole picture?
And then you're stuck.
I've seen it with clients for years. And I've experienced it myself.
You can be incredibly capable, experienced, and surrounded by excellent advisers, and still struggle to see your own situation clearly.
Not because you need more information.
Not because the advice you've received is wrong.
Because proximity changes what you can see.
When you're standing inside the situation you're trying to understand, it becomes harder to create the distance you need to see the whole picture.
This Is Where I Come In
You don't need to present me with a perfectly formulated problem or have everything figured out before we speak.
Tell me what is actually going on.
We can put all of it on the table: the advice you've received, the options you're considering, what other people want, what you want, what doesn't quite add up yet, and even the things you're not sure are relevant.
Then we look at it together.
I listen. I ask questions. I challenge you when I think something needs challenging. And I bring my own perspective, judgement and more than fifteen years of experience to the table.
Sometimes a pattern becomes visible that you couldn't see from inside the situation. Sometimes I'll notice something sitting in your blind spot. Things you were looking at separately may turn out to be influencing each other. An assumption you had been treating as fact may no longer hold.
You zoom out.
That's when the fog starts to clear.
You see the whole picture again.
And from there, new perspectives become possible.
You may see the options you already had differently. Or you may discover a possibility you hadn't considered at all.
You stop going around in circles.
You see what actually matters. What you want. What you're willing to accept, and what you're not. You see what each direction could set in motion, not only now, but further down the road.
Your own sharpness comes back.
You can make choices that fit not only the situation in front of you, but the future you actually want to create, for your business and for your life.
You know what you've decided, why you've decided it, and what you're choosing it in service of.
So even when your decision needs explaining, when others question it, or when they simply don't understand it, you can stand behind it with confidence and explain your reasoning clearly.
And years from now, you can still look back and know why this was the right decision for the future you wanted to create.
"I know what I want now. I know what I need to do."
I've heard some version of that from clients many times over the years.
Sometimes It Begins With a Decision. Often, It Begins With a Shift.
Private Advisory can become relevant when you are:
- Considering a change in ownership, succession, or the future of your business.
- Preparing the next generation or thinking about what you want to pass on.
- Facing a crossroads in a business partnership or an important relationship.
- Going through or considering a divorce and needing a confidential private adviser to help you see the whole picture — not as your lawyer or divorce mediator, but as your private adviser.
- Redefining your role as founder, owner, or CEO.
- Bringing in new leadership or preparing to step back.
- Considering a sale, exit, or another major transition.
- Navigating a situation where business, wealth, family, or personal interests are pulling in different directions.
- Wondering what you actually want after reaching the level of success you once worked towards.
- Realising that the business or role you built no longer fits the life you want to live.
- Feeling that something is changing — even if you cannot fully name it yet.
These conversations don't need to begin with a crisis.
Sometimes the best time to have them is earlier — while there is still room to think, explore your options and shape what comes next.

The Advisory Relationship
Working with New Paradigm CEO™ is not a programme of fixed weekly sessions or a predetermined rhythm.
It is a confidential advisory relationship that adapts to the realities of your business and the issues you are facing at any given time.
Following a Private Inquiry, you receive a proposal tailored to you and your situation. There are no hourly rates or per-session fees. Each engagement is agreed as a single fixed fee once the scope is clear. The relationships that follow tend to be longer-term, and their form varies from person to person. For some, that means a single, focused day. For others, a month of close advisory engagement or an advisory relationship spanning three, six or nine months. What is right for you always follows from the situation itself, never from a fixed package.
Through access to my private calendar, you schedule online conversations whenever the need arises. Some situations call for an in-depth strategic discussion, others for a shorter conversation. Alongside scheduled conversations, when the situation calls for it, there is room for short exchanges via Signal: a quick question, a voice note or a moment to think something through together.
No fixed touchpoints.
No unnecessary structure.
Just access to independent advice, exactly when it matters most.
Private Advisory can be individual — or shared.
Most of my work begins with an entrepreneur, CEO or leader who engages me directly.
But Private Advisory doesn't have to involve just one person.
I can also be engaged by a family, a group of shareholders or other people who need to work through an important situation, transition or question together.
In those situations, I may work with people individually as well as together. That can mean a series of private one-to-one conversations, followed by conversations with the wider group — all centred around one shared objective.
This gives me the opportunity to understand the different perspectives, interests and concerns involved, while keeping sight of what everyone is ultimately trying to achieve.
I lead those conversations independently. I ask the questions that need to be asked, challenge assumptions where necessary, bring patterns and blind spots into view, and help the people involved see where things connect — and where they don't.
The goal isn't for everyone to think the same. It's to create enough clarity around the whole situation to move forward together.
Daniëlla Eikmans van Dorst, LLM
Founder, New Paradigm CEO™
Why I See Things Differently
My name is mr. Daniëlla Eikmans van Dorst.
I grew up in an entrepreneurial family and saw early on that a business reaches far beyond the business itself — shaping not only work, but also wealth, relationships, family and the future.
After completing university degrees in International and European Law and Dutch Law, I founded two legal practices in 2011.
For more than fifteen years, I have worked alongside entrepreneurs, CEOs, senior leaders and the Dutch government in complex situations where different interests, risks, relationships and potential consequences had to be carefully weighed.
As a business lawyer specialising in business law, contracts and liability, I advised entrepreneurs and leaders on the business side of those situations. As a specialised business and government mediator, I learned to recognise the interests and underlying dynamics influencing what happens around the table — including what isn't being said.
My work in international private law and matrimonial property law added another perspective. As an international family and divorce mediator, I worked with entrepreneurs and families with substantial business and financial interests, where business, ownership, wealth and family could not simply be considered separately.
Together, those experiences taught me to look beyond the question on the table. To see the wider context, recognise patterns and dynamics, and understand how a change in one part of someone's world can affect another.
People tend to open up quickly with me about what is really going on. That matters to me. Title, status, or the size of someone's wealth interests me far less than understanding the person behind the entrepreneur, CEO, or leader — what occupies their mind, the responsibilities they carry, and what they ultimately want.
Over time, clients increasingly asked me to take on exactly that role as a private adviser.
That became the foundation for New Paradigm CEO™.
How a Private Advisory Relationship Begins
I. The Application
If you are considering a Private Advisory Relationship, the process begins with an application.
Complete the application form and briefly share what you would like us to examine. I read every application personally.
II. The Private Inquiry
In a short, confidential, complimentary and non-binding online conversation, we examine what is currently at stake and determine whether, and in what form, an advisory relationship would add meaningful value.
III. The Advisory Proposal
When we are both convinced that working together will add real value, you receive a personal advisory proposal — built from my understanding of your situation, setting out the route I recommend and, where more than one approach could serve the situation well, the alternatives and their trade-offs in scope or intensity.
IV. The Start of the Advisory Relationship
Once agreed, the advisory relationship begins and you receive immediate access to my private calendar to schedule conversations, along with direct access to me via Signal for the moments when an important decision, an unexpected development or a complex issue calls for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed is confidential from the very first conversation, including the Private Inquiry itself.
Confidentiality has been a professional obligation throughout my career as a lawyer, mediator and private adviser, long before any agreement is signed. Once an advisory relationship begins, that discretion is formalised further in a Client Agreement that includes a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Do I work with you personally, or with a team?
You always have direct access to me personally, never to a team member or an assistant — I read and respond to every message myself.
Every advisory relationship is protected by a Client Agreement with its own NDA, covering both confidentiality and the careful handling of personal data. Even the choice of Signal for contact between conversations reflects the same priority: privacy, security and the protection of sensitive information are the standard every system and every party around this work is chosen against.
Do you also work internationally?
Yes.
Based in the Netherlands, I work with clients across Europe and worldwide, in both Dutch and English.
Conversations are normally held online, making collaboration possible regardless of where you are based. Where appropriate, in-person meetings can be arranged as part of the advisory relationship, at additional rates to cover travel and time.
Is the application non-binding?
Yes. Every application is reviewed personally and in strict confidence. If, based on your application, I believe a Private Inquiry would be a good fit, I will contact you within 48 business hours. The Private Inquiry itself is confidential, complimentary and non-binding.
What is the investment?
Every advisory relationship is put together personally, based on the nature and complexity of the issues, the desired closeness of collaboration and its duration. Advisory relationships start from €5,000.
Following the Private Inquiry, you receive a bespoke advisory proposal, built from my understanding of your situation rather than a menu to choose from. Where more than one approach could serve the situation well, I set out the route I would recommend and the alternatives, with their trade-offs in scope or intensity, so the investment follows from my judgement of what the situation requires. Once scope is agreed, the engagement is based on a single fixed fee, agreed in advance, rather than hourly or per-session billing.
Request a Private Inquiry
Complete the application below. I review every application personally and, if I believe a Private Inquiry would be a good fit, I'll be in touch within 48 business hours. The Private Inquiry itself is a confidential, complimentary and non-binding conversation.
